Tank Avenger First Levels: 8 Tips to Win the Early Game
Struggling in the first levels of Tank Avenger: Mixed Reality? These eight tips on bounces, coins, movement and patience help in the early game.

The opening levels of Tank Avenger set habits that stay with you for all 200 levels. These Tank Avenger first levels tips are the eight things worth practising while the stakes are low, so that the harder worlds feel less like a wall and more like a step up.
1. Treat walls as part of your weapon
The Normal Gun's bullets bounce once off walls. That one rule changes everything. An enemy hiding behind a block is not safe if you can angle a shot off the wall beside it. Use the early levels to try deliberate rebound shots, even when a direct shot would do. You are building a feel for angles that will matter later.
2. Assume enemy shells bounce too
Whatever bounces for you can bounce for the enemy. When a shell hits a wall near you, picture where it goes next. The safest position is often not the one farthest from the enemy but the one where no wall sends a rebound your way.
3. Move early, not late
New players wait until a shell is almost on them and then react. Instead, move as soon as an enemy lines up, and keep moving between shots. A tank that never stands still is much harder to hit than one that sits behind the same block for ten seconds.
4. Use your real body to look around cover
The battlefield lives in your room. Take a step sideways, lean, or crouch to see around blocks. Enemies you cannot see from your usual spot may be sitting in plain view from two steps to the left. Check your surroundings first, and only move in a clear play area.
5. Fight one enemy at a time
When several enemies are on the field, pick one and finish it before turning your attention to the next. Splitting shots across targets means nobody dies and everybody keeps shooting. Use blocks to break line of sight with the others while you focus.
6. Spend your first coins on your main weapon
Every battle pays out coins, and each weapon has its own upgrades. During the first levels, put your coins into whichever weapon you reach for most often. A clearly stronger primary weapon helps more than six slightly better ones. For a deeper look, read our weapon upgrade priority guide.
7. Replay, do not rush
With 200 levels, there is no need to sprint forward. If a level feels hard, replaying earlier ones to collect more coins and sharpen your aim is a perfectly good plan. Short sessions with a few clean wins feel better than one long frustrating attempt.
8. Take breaks and keep the room clear
The game's own guidance is to keep the room well lit, play in short sessions and stop if you feel dizzy or uncomfortable. Pausing also helps your play: you come back and notice a flank you missed before.
A simple routine for each early level
- Scan the whole battlefield before firing. Count enemies and note the blocks.
- Identify one wall you could bounce a shot off.
- Move to a spot where enemy rebounds are unlikely to reach you.
- Take your shot, then move again straight away.
- Repeat on the next enemy.
It sounds rigid, but after a few levels it becomes automatic.
What to expect next
After the first levels you will meet different worlds with their own character. City is ruined metropolis, Desert has open sand and long sightlines, Jungle has dense cover and tight corridors, and Ice has slick floors and shots that keep on going. The habits above carry over to all of them. If you have not yet read it, our beginner guide covers room setup and the basics, and the game's product page lists everything in one place.
FAQ
Why do I keep getting hit by my own bounced shots?
Bullets bounce off walls, so a shot fired too close to a wall can return toward you. Check the angle before firing and avoid shooting when a rebound line would cross your position.
Should I move around the room or stay in one place?
Both help. Moving your tank keeps you hard to hit, while physical steps and crouching help you see around blocks. Always keep your real play area clear first.
How many coins do I need early on?
Coins are earned in every battle, so you will collect them as you play. Spend them on your favourite weapon first rather than saving them indefinitely.
Is it fine to replay early levels?
Yes. Replaying lets you practise bounces and earn more coins without the pressure of a harder level.
