Bank Shots in Tank Avenger: How to Aim With Bouncing Bullets
Learn how to plan bouncing bullet angles in Tank Avenger: Mixed Reality, from one-bounce Normal Gun shots to two-bounce Fast Gun lines and safe positions.

Bouncing bullets are the signature trick of Tank Avenger: Mixed Reality, and learning bouncing bullets tank game strategy is the fastest way to move from "I hit things sometimes" to "I hit what I choose". You do not need maths, only a clear mental picture and a few repeatable habits.
The facts you are working with
From the game's weapon list: the Normal Gun's bullets bounce once off walls, and the Fast Gun fires rapidly with bullets that bounce twice. Other weapons behave differently, with explosives, tracking or triple shots. For bank shots, those first two are your tools.
Think like a billiards player
The idea is the same as bouncing a ball off a cushion. A bullet leaves a wall at roughly the angle it arrived. So to hit a target around a corner:
- Find the target.
- Find a wall that is both near the target and visible from you.
- Imagine the target mirrored on the other side of that wall.
- Aim at the mirror image. The bullet should bounce into the real target.
Do this mentally a few times per level and your accuracy will rise.
One bounce versus two
A one-bounce shot gives you a clean, short route. A two-bounce shot lets you reach targets behind more cover, but the path is harder to read. Start with one-bounce planning, and when you are comfortable, use the Fast Gun to try routes involving two walls. Remember that with two bounces, it is also possible for your own bullet to end up near you again, so do not stand along the final leg.
Reading the battlefield
Before each fight, spend a few seconds noticing:
- Which walls are long and flat? These make predictable rebounds.
- Where are corners? Corners can send bullets back along nearly the same line, which is both a danger and a trick.
- Which blocks block the direct line but leave a rebound line open?
You can also walk around the arena physically. Seeing the layout from another side can reveal bounce lines that were hidden from your first position.
Defensive bounce awareness
Everything above applies to enemies. When you see a shell fly toward a wall, trace its likely rebound before deciding where to stand. The safest tile is rarely the farthest one. It is the one that no plausible rebound crosses.
Common beginner mistakes
- Shooting near a wall from too close. The rebound can return to you.
- Over-aiming at the exact pixel. A slightly wide angle often misses, so pick wide, forgiving targets.
- Ignoring the second leg. Players watch the first segment and forget about the part after the bounce.
Special note for Ice
The Ice world has slick floors, sliding tanks and shots that keep on going. Bank shots here need extra care because enemy positions drift as they slide. Aim slightly ahead of where they are heading and re-check after each shot. Read our Ice world guide for more.
A 10-minute drill
- Pick a level with several blocks.
- Try to destroy each enemy using only bank shots.
- Switch between Normal Gun and Fast Gun to feel the difference.
- Take a break and play a regular level afterward.
You will notice you are suddenly more patient with angles. The game's product page shows screenshots of the arenas if you want to study layouts.
Train your eye away from the game
A neat trick is to practise the geometry in real life. Look at a wall in your room and imagine a ball rolling at it from where you stand. Where would it leave? Do this with a couple of real walls and corners for a minute and the mental mirror trick starts to feel natural. Then bring it back into the arena. Because Tank Avenger builds its battlefield on your actual room, the real walls and the virtual ones often line up, which makes this practice surprisingly direct. Just keep your steps careful and your play area clear.
FAQ
How many times do bullets bounce in Tank Avenger?
It depends on the weapon. Normal Gun bullets bounce once and Fast Gun bullets bounce twice.
Can enemy shots bounce too?
You should assume so. Plan your position with possible rebounds in mind.
Which weapon is best for trick shots?
The Normal Gun is easiest to read, and the Fast Gun offers longer two-bounce routes with rapid fire.
Do bank shots work on every world?
Yes, but each world feels different. The Ice world's sliding tanks make targets harder to predict.
