Laser Thief Money World Guide: Cracking the Vault
The Money world in Laser Thief has the tightest laser grid yet. Learn how to crack the vault with patience, clean crawling and careful reaches.

The Money world is described as "the vault": gold bars, cash bundles and the tightest laser grid yet. It is the sixth of seven worlds, one step from the finale, and it asks for everything you have learned. This Laser Thief Money world vault guide is about discipline.
The tight grid mindset
When the grid is dense, there is less room to improvise. Gaps are narrow, so your body has to be exact. The first rule is calm: panicked movement is the fastest way to drain shield. The support notes say slow, deliberate movement near beams beats fast movement, and that is doubly true here.
Break the grid into chunks
A dense grid can feel overwhelming if you look at the whole thing. Instead:
- Find the first gap you need to reach.
- Identify the move: duck, dodge, crawl or reach.
- Execute it, then settle.
- Look for the next gap.
Treating the grid as a sequence of small problems keeps your mind clear.
Be smaller
In tight spots, being compact helps. Tuck your arms in, keep your elbows close, and use twists to narrow your shoulders. Our dodging tips explain how a twist makes your body thinner, and our crawling guide shows how to stay low and level.
Control the hands
Controllers are tracked, so a stray hand costs shield. In the vault, make hand placement a conscious act. Before reaching for a gold bar or cash bundle, trace the arm path with your eyes. Retract along the same path.
Stay patient
Hesitation is penalised in Bomb Mode, but in Story Mode patience is rewarded. You are not on a clock, so spend the extra seconds. Many players lose shield by moving at the speed they would use in an easier world. Slow down to the speed the grid demands.
Warm up before the vault
Do not walk into the Money world cold. Do a short stretch and a few Free Play levels to get your body and tracking settled. Our warm-up routine is built for that. A cold start produces clumsy movement and wasted shield.
Keep tracking clean
Tight grids punish tracking glitches. Play in a well-lit room, uncover the controllers and keep Space Setup current. If your shield shrinks when you are sure you did not touch a beam, check these first.
Don't tire yourself
The vault is demanding. Take breaks after each level or two, and stop if you feel pain or dizziness. If you have a condition that limits movement, check with a doctor before playing.
What's next
After the vault comes Warzone, the final test. Read the Laser Thief page for the overview or visit the Meta Horizon Store.
Practise the vault skills elsewhere
The tightest grid is easier to face if you have rehearsed its ingredients in calmer places. Spend a Free Play session on three things only. First, tiny ducks: find the minimum squat depth that clears a chest-height beam, so you are not over-lowering and bumping lower beams. Second, narrow twists: practise turning your shoulders to slip between two beams that are close together. Third, hand discipline: walk through whole levels with your arms held close to your body and extend them only to grab.
When you return to the vault, you will notice that the grid feels like a set of familiar small problems rather than one huge one. If a specific gap keeps defeating you, step away for a few minutes, stretch, and come back fresh. Fatigue and frustration look identical from the inside, and a short pause fixes both.
When you finally clear a vault level, resist the urge to celebrate with a big movement. Finish the level, step back to the middle of your play area and reset. Many players lose a hard-won shield on the final grab because adrenaline makes the last move sloppy. Calm finishes are a skill too, and the narrator will have plenty to say either way.
