Not every game suits every player, and that is fine. If you have bought Sozo Tower Defense and want your money back, the process runs through Meta, not through the developer. This guide explains what the official sources say and what to try first.

Who handles refunds

The Sozo support page states that purchases are handled by the Meta Horizon Store. You can request a refund from your purchase history in the Meta Horizon app or on the Meta website, subject to Meta's refund policy. The terms of service repeat that payments, taxes and refunds are handled by Meta under Meta's terms and refund policy. The developer never sees your payment details.

What we cannot tell you

Refund windows, playtime limits and eligibility rules belong to Meta and can change. We will not quote them, because they are not in our fact sources. Read Meta's current refund policy before you apply.

Before you request a refund, try these

Sometimes the problem is fixable:

  1. Too hard? Try a lower difficulty. Casual and Normal are available, and the support page suggests upgrading towers, mixing damage types and saving powers for big waves.
  2. Hands not detected? Enable hand tracking in settings, brighten the room, or use Touch controllers.
  3. Mixed reality looks wrong? Re-run Space Setup and confirm the room again in the game.
  4. Uncomfortable? Take a break, shorten sessions and consider VR mode.
  5. Wrong headset? Check that you have a Quest 2, Pro, 3 or 3S.

If it still does not work for you, ask for the refund without guilt.

How to find your purchase history

Open the Meta Horizon app on your phone, or the Meta website, and look for purchase history or order details within your account. Menu names change over time. Select the purchase and follow Meta's refund request steps.

Contacting the developer

If you think there is a bug, you can email the developer through the support page. Include your headset model, what happened and how to reproduce it. The developer cannot process the refund for you, but feedback helps improve the game.

Does the refund remove my save?

Your progress is stored locally on the headset. If you uninstall after a refund, your progress and settings are removed. If you think you may change your mind, keep it installed until the refund is decided.

Gifts and accounts

If the purchase was made on a different Meta account than the one on your headset, locate it under the account that bought it. For gifts, check Meta's policies.

Think about what you value

Before you refund, consider what you wanted. If it was a gentle strategy game, lower the difficulty and play two or three levels. If it was a high-adrenaline action game, tower defense may simply not be your genre. That is a legitimate reason to refund.

What you pay for

The game is sold on the store with the price shown there. The terms say that in-game gold, stars, upgrades and unlocks have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for money.

Check the official store listing or the Sozo page for what the game offers before buying.

Keep a calm paper trail

If you decide to request a refund, keep the order confirmation email, note the date of purchase and write down why you want the refund. Clear reasons help any support process. Stay polite and concise in your request, and follow up if you do not hear back within the time Meta states. Being organised keeps the process quick, whatever the outcome.
